Trip to Mathura
"Mathura on the banks of River Yamuna is the birthplace of Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Mathura has been a sacred pilgrimage centure for many centuries. The government museum with a vast collection of superb sculptures, terracotta images, coins and bronze objects those date back between 5th century BC and 12th century AD are worth probing through. "
Alarm clock woke me up at 6am and I just simply ignored it as few hours before there was no electricity in our lovely Sheela and I couldnt sleep cause of it...was just too hot!!!
6:30am I am getting a call from Olga:"So are you coming?????"....so i was ready in 5 mins and we went to bus stop where we catched some random bus whose driver was shouting "Mathuraaaaaa". We went for about one and half hour out of Agra and reached Mathura...after lots of negiotiating we took three rickshaws who took us around whole day:)
To be honest I have never seens so many temples ... it was nice place..buuut...all of us were compltely exhausted cause of the heat and completely dirty cause of the dust...hehehe...
Someone could say...wow, you have nice suntan...well...it is just that my body is covered with few milimetres of dust:)
I wont mention the hunt for AC restaurant and nonVeg food(afterwards we realized that it is a religious place...there is no nonVeg resturant), going 8+rickshaw driver in one rickshaw, cause one stoped working:), random conversations with rickshaw drivers, people staring at us cause we were the only tourists, walking down the street without shoes, etc.
But we reached safely our Sheela home and met crazy indian MCP Parthiv(btw..nice to meet you again Parthiv) and taking the best shower ever...hahaha...never felt as dirty as today.
But it was a great day:):):):):)
